EDIT: Im wrong. Coder knows more than me lol. Heres some info about WEP keys: digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/f20/how-hack-wep-key-32069/ The annoying thing for me, is that everyone in my area is secured by a WPA key, not WEP lol. I might have to make my own router temporarily vulnerable to learn how to hack for when I need to if Im taking my netbook around with me to find some WEP secured routers. Im also waiting for the day when people will ask me to install their network for them and to make it "secure" lol

Absolutley, AndLinux is another alternative. Allows you to run Linux in a Window on your desktop.

you can crack wep from windows but there is no packet injection, so cracking an 128 bit wep key could take time. if you have the correct set up on a linux box then cracking wep start/finish like 2-20 minutes depends how stubborn the network is.

Hi All.
I'm Jamin' again thanks to you guys and back on internet from a wep feed. I just followed a few tips from some of you guys and I have managed to get on line from a secure wep from someone near me and as lee-ds said wep is easy to sort. Many thanks to all you guys who helped me sort this one out and got me jamin' again. ![]() ![]()
