Default How to chip a cable box receiver (pace 2000 is ideal as i have 1)

but what is the easiest cable box to chip

Hello

I am VERY very new to programing cable boxes and have no clu on were to start. Anyway i have a DITV pace 2000 with a virgin media smart card and was wondering how to chip it/programe it (get all the channel)

1-what will i need to do this (card reader etc)

2- what are the steps on doing this i.e do i need to open the box if so is their any hardware i need to insert or connect the box to my computer if so what sofware am i going to need to programme the card and the box

3-have i missed anything out

I know im am going to need a Universal JTAG Adapter, Buffered Blackcat JTAG cable for Cable Modem and a USB Powered Buffered All In One JTAG Cable for Satllite Receivers

Are there any tutorials online

You have picked the worst box to start with.

Google "Novice Angel guide".

READ IT.

Worst box to start with and proberly the hardest as said and proberly the worst time to start but its a hobby so give it ago all the information floating about just do a search.

I recomend a Samsung 2100 or a Pace 4010 to start with. Depending on what area your from .

They are the best and not so much of a disappointment if something goes wrong.

Iv hear that when all the boxes go of coz of nagra 3 these two boxes will stay on and automatically switch to vm viewing becoz they are the original boxes.AM I CORRECT? IF NOT PLZ TELL ME.
