Are the £80-£100 wall brackets that all the main digital retailers sell worth it? I'm specifically talking about the ones for a 50" TV....
I just want to know what’s the difference between these and the ones that Tesco sells or the ones from eBay?? The only difference I can see is the price!! |

All I can say on the subject is that I have installed expensive and cheap ones and never had a problem with either. You pay your money and take your chances.

If you fix the bracket to the wall properly it will hold. Use m8 sheild anchors or similar. You will only have problems if you don fit the bracket correctly.

I bought mine from ebay and it is really strong, the ones from the high st retailers are just way overpriced. Think I paid about £40 for mine, I have a 46inch TV, and can almost put it at a 90 degree angle to the wall.
I used coach bolts and decent wall plugs, the bracket has about 8 fixing holes and goes into brick, it isn't going anywhere.
