right might sound stupid but cant find the answer through searching on here
im changing my lnb from a single to an octo so i can put more boxes in the berooms etc. anyway i was talking to someone and he told me that only 1 of the recievers had to power the lnb or i will blow it up is this right? what i was going to do was connect my 4 boxes straight to it and hopefully it would work straight away, but im not keen to do this until i know if i only have one receiver powering the box |

No, don't worry you won't blow it up. It should be just a case of replacing the LNB for the Octo, connecting the receivers up, and away you go. Not always that simple, but that's what should happen. The Dish might need a slight adjustemnt due to the extra weight of the LNB, but I have never needed to do that.

Usually, the weight of the quad or Octo lnb, means that the dish, may need aligning vertically,as the lnb arm can sag.
This can occur immediately or even take several days or weeks. This is a really good guide. |
