Question K800i DVD Lens

I WAS JUST WOUNDERING THAT WILL THIS ACTUALLY WORK CAUSE I GOT THIS INFORMATION BELOW FROM A WEBSITE

DIY Cameraphone Macro Lens

There are a lot of things you can do with busted devices and it is quite amazing at what they can produce. Like in the case of mobile phone users who want to get better quality for their built-in cameras, who would have thought that old focusing lenses from DVD players would return great results.
Give credit to this Flickr user who discovered it. He did the trick by placing the DVD focus lens over his Sony Ericsson K800i and bingo, macro photography is now right at his fingertips. This is of course assuming that the DVD player was busted (hopefully!)

Default Re: K800i DVD Lens

Reading that article, it seems to suggest that the K800i camera will function as a macro - with the lens/film, whatever on - so that images can be taken close up and quality still kept to a reasonable standard.
