"Chasing Midnight" (New Year's Eve 2009) multi-sat

Quote:1100 - Auckland - Sky News / BBC News
1300 - Sydney - Sky News / BBC News
1400 - Vladivostok - Russia Today
1500 - temple in Japan - JSTV1 (Arirang Korea is also in this slot)
1600 - China - CCTV4 or CCTV9
1700 - Thailand - Thai Global TV or Vietnam - VTV4
1800 - Kazakhstan - Caspionet / Kyrgyzstan - K+
1830 - India - Amrita TV or NDTV (scrambled on 28E)
1900 - Uzbekistan - Uzbek TV (only on 40E so most folk pick up Dinner For One here)
After this more channels become available so the group starts breaking up and watching various things
2000 - Georgia - Adjara TV / Armenia - C1 / Azerbaijan - Lider TV, Shant TV or Az 1
2100 - Moscow - one of the main Russian channels
2200 - numerous eastern European countries including Albania - Alsat, Turkey - TRT International, Romania - TVRi, Greece - ERT, etc
2300 - Germany - ARD, Nigeria - AIT International or Loveworld
0000 - Portugal - RTPi or if you are really desperate UK BBC1 London or Scotland on 28E

Auckland,been and gone,now a distant memory.
Not shown by Sky news this year.
Was shown on CNN.
Looks like the Azeri's have started the party quite early.
Preparations for Germany in full swing.

Transmissions from many places are on Polish station TVN24 (now I have screenshots from Auckland nad Sydney). Some screenshots I will paste on this place tomorrow.__________________

Russkie news channel Vesti has been very good so far - they showed all 13 minutes of the Sydney fireworks at 1300 plus a few minutes from Khabarovsk (a city in the far east of Russia) at 1400.__________________

Japan was serene,as usual with its bell ringing,not to mention picturecard perfect with the snow.
