Default box wont power up

samsung box wont power up.when the power lead is inserted the "on" button remains red and nothing at all happens on the led.

Sounds like the caps have blown,is it a 2110c?

You will have to replace some electrolytic capacitors inside the power supply board, (4 OR 6 of em to be exact, depends on what board revision) which means you have to be able to solder and have all the neccessary bits and bobs to do it, lying about.
If you open up the box and look @ the left h/side, u 'should' see some caps that have expanded @ the top, and look kinda 'odd' compared to the others. Replace them, and you should be sorted m8.
In some boards, the location of them are.... C9, C10, AND ON THE OTHER SIDE...C13, C14.. Those are normally 1000 uf 16v..
If you dont have any idea of what you are doing...USE THE SEARCH BUTTON,
AS........
I wont be responsible for you blowing yourself up...or worse...Your BOX.... lol
