3 mobile broadband dongle with 02 iphone sim

hi folks. sorry if this query has been answered, i saw much discussion in the forums about this sort of thing but couldn't find what i'm looking for.

i'm considering unlocking my dongle and then getting hold of said sim card. my question is does anyone know what the fair usage policy is on this sim? it's the one where you top it up with £10 credit and you get 12 months free net access. cant find the info on the net or 02 site. please note the sim card is for use with the 3 mobile dongle and laptop, not an iphone. any help would be great and thanks in advance.

needs to be the apple iphone payg sim m8, which is pretty hard to get
you top up with a tenner and make 1 call, the 12mth bolt on is then active.
ive used mine in the car since october and gets 1mb speeds
fair usage im not sure but when im away i use it constantly ok so far

ive just got this work with a 3 sim card and an unlocked huawei e220 vodafone modem

Just a thought lads, do you need an iPhone to male the call and is there any number you need call, what I mean is does it have to be to a O2 number or does it matter, it might be of help to others to know the answer? Thanks for the confirmation I am sure will follow, as I have always got a swift and true answer to anything I have asked about in the phone section, there are some well informed people in this section.

Do I actually need a iPhone or can I put it in any unlocked phone to activate it?

i used an old unlocked nokia 6300 to activate and put on €10 credit, i also sent 1 txt message.

sweet so my unlocked lg viewty (I'm on o2 anyway) should work fine then?

ok but u need to read this and may not need that iphone sim either!!!
Any PAYG Three sim will work for this ( no credit )

First you need to add a new connection: (in ur dongle software,i using what installed with mine, or mobile partner)

Name: Three
APN: three.co.uk
User: guest
Pass: guest

This will get you a 10.x.x.x IP

In profiles you need to move the 3G connection to available and the new one you created to the prefered

Then using Proxifier (http://www.sendspace.com/file/l28d7z) in options, best to tick autostart if only dongle u be using (Proxifier - Bypass firewall and proxy, tunnel connections through an HTTPS and SOCKS proxy) add a proxy with following details

IP: 217.64.228.209
Port: 80
Proxy Type: HTTPS
Appear as Internet Explorer to be checked (this stops every site thinking your using a mobile phone)

Thats all there is to it and its there is no usage limit, its completely UNLIMITED!!

Yeah I have been using the 3 one for about a week now with no problems and been working a treat.

I just wanted to know about o2 just so I have a variety of options and internet connections
