Hi there, I have the same problem but only intermittatly, it doesn't shut down, it says 'it has caused a problem and needs to shut down' how do you perform a factroy re-set or sytem re-store and what on, the modem or PC.
Thanks in advance |

hi mate, try a system restore first on the pc.to do this....
click on the start menu- then just type system restore on your serch bar you should see a program called SYSTEM RESTORE-then just follow on screen instutions and chosse an earlyer date(i.e to before the problem started) it should then reboot and start again if your still getting the same problem then try a factory restore( be warned this will delete all files on your pc) make sure that your pc has your op system stored on it( windows xp/vista.e.t.c) or you have a disc with your op system on it. mine was already stored on the pc as it is under a year old.to do the factory reset i simply just pressed f11 when the pc booted up,and followed the instuctions on screen, took around an hour to complete, but well worth it!!! my pc is working perfect again now. hope this helps.........mike

You could try this before you reset/restore your PC.
Control Panel Internet Options Advanced Tab Reset Internet Explorer settings This should also disable add-ons & activeX controls which can be re-enabled when required |
