right ive got ur23 for the tm500 how do i install it onto the box if i take the box to the router cos it downloads to the pc

Use the loader on the PC, on the config screen put in the details like I posted above.

The on the update screen, press the update button and choose the image file you downloaded.

If all is well it will flash that image to your reciever.

yes ive done that but it just said i had the wrong image not compatible what loader do you think i could try i dl the technomate one is that the only one to use ?

If it's the one from the Technomate site it will only work with orignal images i think. There's one on Digital Worldz, I know it works because it's the one I'm using.

another thing i noticed is the erthernet light at the back off the tm box is green and orange is this normal?

Yes that's normal. It will flash when data is passing through the port.

sorry rick but is the loader the one thats the sticky on the site and thanks for putting up with me lads ive never had a problem before linux theres more to it than meets the eye

right trying again!!!! brought my laptop downstairs to my router ive plugged the tm box into the router when i go to update it it comes up with (ERROR SOCKET ERROR!!!)
