If you want a HD box get the Starview Combo , comes with Lan and Sat tuner also.
Very few updates for the 7000 and does not come with any of the above.

A much better buy IMO.

The Satellite tuner is a better option for free channels as there are many more on satellite. There have been more firmware releases for the EX7000 than the Starview but that shouldn't matter if you are looking for free channels.

I think that is a bit unfair to say that Lincsat, because the new Starview HD has only been released 4 weeks, and the 7000 is more than one year old now.

So, obviously there should be more releases for the 7000 than a brand new box.

Infact, the 7000 has been quite under-supported according to comments on this and other forums. According to some reports there are still things that haven't been fixed on it even after a year.

Cheers.

i have had a eurovox ex7000 hd since september and up until now everything has been good, however, i am starting to loose channels.

First sky s news and a movie channel, today i have lost bbc1 and bbc 2.

have tryed the user installation and selecting a re scan on the relivant setting - no joy, then removed all wires and replugging, still no avail - any suggestions?

That was a statement of fact - I wouldn't say the EX7000 has been under-supported at all, it's worked from day 1 with just some gripes about the EPG descriptions, which IMO is Gravy. I'm from the era of 4 Analogue channels, no EPG and having to set VCR timers by hand getting the program information from the "Radio Times"

I have to agree somewhat, under-supported? Not at all.. but that said the EPG problems really should have been fixed quicker than they were IMO.

my HD 7000 has been ok, no issues there. Could someone give us an update, on EPG and favourites menu. ie on screen info and titles for the favourites menus.
cheers
PS sling box works well ON HD7000 and PVR, I've tried it from the UK to my holiday home in Bulgaria.
