Hello,

This may be a silly question, but does anyone know if this combo box (Cable& Sat Tuner) can pickup the FTA Freesat in HD over the Satelite connection?

its got a sat tuner, so assuming its cabled to a dish (sky mini dish) pointing in the correct direction..

should it be able to decode Freesat (BBC/ITV) HD channels?

It should pick up BBC HD no problems, Luxe TV HD also. But ITV HD, maybe not, as it is not a proper channel at the moment, most non-Freesat boxes require some tweaking to make it receive ITV HD, and it is not always possible.

Do you think BBC iplayer will work over the ethernet port..or is it too early to say.

I doubt it, I think only the Humax Freesat boxes have BBC iplayer at the moment. (the Wii has it by the way, and so do some bluray players)

It does pick up itv HD but it just shows up as a bunch of numbers as the channel name so you have to rename it .

i can also confirm it will also detect ITV HD

what a box, puts my eurovox ex7000HD into the dark, even plays avi files, and mp3's from usb drive

with regard to LAN port, im still playing with this. i cant find the streaming program online anyway that the user manual refers to, so im trying to get it working with other applications

bbci player, againonce i have any updates ill post on forum
