Can you boot to the engineer's menu (check your other post on how to if you are unsure)?

if u hold down button when plugging box in, should skip through had this error a few times. let us know.

its a pace 4010 its showing 8888 and three lights on mate

Hi

Im sorry to be the bearer of bad news mate but unfortunately your box is fried. Virgin have found it and shot the chip off unfortunately by sending a signal down to the box to terminate it. You need to contact virgin.

Is this a chipped box or a unchipped one?

Virgin shot the chip

no mate normally means reflowing the atmels on the simm module not really an easy job if you have not got the right equipment.

You need to reflow the main board atmels, is most likely a 4001 rather than a 4010
