Default Virgin media Flash/Mod ?

Hello members

Ok i am new to all this but i have modded a with things xbox360,psp,wii before so i felt like modding/flashing a virgin media box lol

Ok i know its possible as my mate in work does it and the internet like he makes it give him the best speed well somthing like that he said but he charges like £150 i think he said before

Well as all of you so good at these things could you help me by flashing/modding my virgin media box and my interent well im using a belkin modem but the internet is with virgin media.

I can give you all the details you need to help me

I don\'t know where he gets that figure from! If it\'s true, someone is ripping him off big time as modified modems are only about £30 on eBay.

Thanks for the reply but i am not looking to buy a ready made modified modem but i was looking to learn to do it myself so do you know any tutorials or can you give me a step by step.

Hi, Guys the st@r*iew boxes are all stopped now aswell are,nt they thats what i hear now a days and even the latest replay tv boxes are on the blink, Can any1 Confilm this for me as i once sold all types of boxes ,But stopped stocking them as i was told what you guys are talking about,

Also im just wondering wots the part needed to connect ur modem to ur pc as so you can talk to the modem, I think they cost about £13 on ebay ready made, Thanks for any replys in advance.

A MAX232 (for Ambit 250/255) and an SPI programmer for Ambit 256 is what you'd need. However, cloned modems are offline now as far as I know so this would just be learning how to do it but you won't be able to get online.
