With the news that Narga 3 is coming out soon on Virgin Media I am weighing up the options of which provider to use.
I am curretly with VM with the V+ box, I like what it offers a bit disopointed by the amount of HD channels available. I am not looking for people's experiances of the services from 1989 or something but relavent to today, Cost etc. I do like the broadband and phone service I get with VM as it never goes down and know of a lot of people who do have trouble with Sky broadband. On the TV front which service is the most cost effective for all the channels? I know that VM ofer ESPN free on XL package not sure about Sky been on their website and it's a maze to me. Suppose I need points of view from both sides really. |

I am in the same boat, i just got shut of my EX7000HD before it becomes a doorstop and worth nothing. I only ever watch the sports so have decided to go legit and get Sky HD with the sports pack at the end of the day i doubt virgin will ever see the HD versions of the sports or movies so legit is the way to go.
I have to admit i will be keeping the VM broadband as my location is crap for ADSL and i could probably only receive around 1mb, Another consolation from sky though as i dont have a BT line at all i am getting line installed for £39 and with their talk package you get free basic 2mb broadband and the evening and weekend plan is included in the £11 cost again unlike VM where it is another £3+ At the end of the day only you can decide but VM will never beat Sky for the HD content. |

yea i made the switch back to VM after being with SKY for a number of years..
SKY broadband speed though ADSL is ****e (no kidding i get better speed on dial up)and there india base customer service is a joke!! having said that there television and HD viewing beat VM hand down.. and as for telephone same really.. so if your a couch potatoe and love television and HD go with SKY.. if your love online gaming, websurfing, porn or downloading go with VM.. personal preference imo good luck PS VM is cheaper
