Hi Martin,

I'd string the f00kers up mate,

can you imagine walking in thinking you'd won £7mill, and they turn around and say NO, we made a mistake taking that bet from you.........but we'll pay you £32!!!!!!!!!

Time in nick would be quickly forthcoming!

Judging by some of the reports, I've read, this might not be a simple punter that has done this but some kind of con man.
The bookies have this policy to stop this type of con, betting on the weather, using a multiple bet system, but some one seems to have seen the loop hole and might have exploited it.
He seems to have written out his betting slip, waited for the bookies to be very busy, and then slipped it in with all the normal horse racing and football bets.
Clearly the bookies aren't stupid enough to allow this kind of betting, as weather patterns often hit most of the country, so all you have to do is check the weather forecast, in advance, and do multiple bets on snow, rain, etc., hitting numerous towns in a 24 hour period.
If it is a con man, and he gets a pay off, then good luck to him but we certainly shouldn't feel sorry for him if he doesn't get away with it.
Either way it was a clever bet, and the odds were certainly in his favour

If he had lost they would have taken his money none the same. I do not bet now, though I have nothing against it, but the whole thing is stacked too much for the bookies. They are very much like insurance companies, any way out and they will take it.

If they accepted the bet , then theres a contract between them and the better and they should pay out the sum he was expecting.

I've read somewhere before.

Obviously they are going to try and get out of paying out that much money to one person.
