hi all just need a tad of help,just bought a modem off fleebay its a ntl modem with sb5101 haxo firmware on it,i have tried a mac off a working modem and i still cant get the modem 2 work,i have noticed that it dosent have a config file showing when i go on the haxo page,do i have 2 up load 1 or will it find it itself,i live in liverpool and have a disk i was sent with the modem but it keeps bringing up infinite,any help would be great thanks regards tony!!!

Did you set the desired frequency through the Haxorware GUI (192.168.100.1)?

alright blakey thanks for your reply is that the dss freq if so ive put in the same as the working modem 331000000

Yes that's where it goes. Did you select DOCSIS or EuroDOCSIS under Annex?

i selected "both"

Select EuroDOCSIS if you are in Ex C&W or DOCSIS if you are Pure or TW.

cheers blakey!!!i've tried that...everything says..done..but, established ip config file says in progress, it been like this for over an hour...an' others say waiting!!!...also auto config file says disabled...???.cheers!!!

The following is for the setup of my modem (your frequency will be different).

In settings, tick:

- Disable Firmware Upgrades

- Force Network Access

In Frequency:

- Annex = Both

- Plan = European

- Upstream Channel = 0 (it will establish itself when it finds a downstream frequency to lock onto)

Baseline Privacy:

- BPI = Disabled

How did you get on mate? Did my settings help you configure your modem?
