Maybe one day you'll get your wish and ALL cable talk will be scrapped and it will just be another redundant sat forum as it was before you merged with Techwatch!!!!!!

Nobody is stopping them.

And of course the sat guys know what they're talking about, the two encryption and conditional access systems are not disimilar. The delivery method is what differs mainly.

I can't speak for the others, but a reason for closure is usually given.

I don't have a wish for the cable talk to stop.I admit at first I was not keen, but in truth, I have got used to it now, live and let live.

The satellitehelp forum was very popular actually, as is Techwatch, presumably the reason why brian chose to merge the two.

I see your point but removing an ok post because someone may decide to make an innapropriate response to it seems a bit excessive. How can you actually discuss anything remotely technical with those kinds of restrictions ?

It is supposed to be a technical forum after all so surely the odd code snippet or small script isn't pushing things too far.

Perhaps time for some clarification of the rules or some rule changes because, tbh, it annoys me for posts to be removed when i've taken the time/trouble to make sure they are within the existing ruleset. I really start to wonder why I bothered !

Very strange comment, and completely unfounded. The two forums have a completely different ethos.

It's never that black or white though is it. The rules would have to be so long that no-one would ever read them if they had to be too specific. Judgement and interpretation has to be made.

You may wonder why you bothered, but I am sure there are many that find posts of yours that are left useful or at least informative (in my case).

Lol I know both of the forums are different the behaviour reported here is similar to what they like to do close posts/delete them without any reason though they also go to the extreme lenghts of banning people as well for no aparent reason.

The rules are quite simple, no key or code to be posted. If you want keys or codes go to some other forum, where they are allowed. You will never see any sat mods allowing any post regarding keys to last very long and the same rules apply to both sides of the forum. I am more than surprised that no cable mod has voiced their opinion on the deleted posts.

Regards Wez

Well maybe people should read the rules and if they post keys then it is up to the mod's and admin to edit and remove. Not remove sounded posts by the coder. It is just plain stupid. He post a bit of a script and some people may see that as posting or asking for keys? The problem with this cable forum is there are too many leeches and im not surpised we dont really ever get technically.

There are plenty of mods on here who "know about cable".
How about some of them help with the ever impending black out.
As it seems the coder has any real input of any significance. Very Informative pal...

BTW - Id have binned it even if it was in the sat section.
i think everything were doing is illegal, why not just bin it all? And none of that,"its purely for educational reasons"

I dont see anything wrong with the post myself, perhaps i can pin them in the downloads section under an appropriate title if its ok with you and if you did want to add any more those too, this would save any arguements with the sat mods untill we clarify rules ,we are still under discussion on the card sharing section also.
