My mate has sent me his old v+ box his sub has ended he now lives in England
and i live in sunny Scotland so i know the net id will need to be changed . When i am in the engineering menu the card bit says never paired dose this mean the i will not be able to get the bk key to change the net id i am not bothered if i dont get the sub channels i just want the fta for the kids room the box is scientific atlantic 8300dvb

you need to hold all these buttons in on the box then add power to change net id/up down left right and power buttons then add the power if i remember right

u gonna need to get the chip blanked or order a new one mate then plug it it without the card to see if u get any channels if u read ur card in nagra get ur details off it then rewrite it and put in box u will no then mate best get a tb filter

There's a pretty good chance VM will ask for it back at some point. If your mate still has Internet/Phone then they will allow him to keep the box for a low level free package but usually, when a subscruption is terminated completely, they will want to collect the box.

I've heard of people having to pay extortionate amount of money if they cant return the box - Sums like £300 are often mentioned.

Does this combination actually work for resetting the box? I had to have the chip lifted on mine.

Lol, it would be nice if it does because I haven't mastered soldering yet so this will be beneficial to me as I will be able to change the Net ID by using just the combination to blank the chip then setting everything with a Funcard

I can't, my dad would kill me if I messed around with ours. As it is, he doesn't like it when it reboots (I cut talkback and didn't use a filter) lol.
