My only issue is that programs such as E4, Living etc are giving me a message of "check signal" when i have no issues with my signal strength. Also MTV HD is missing but other than that it's ok.
Channels have probably moved to a different transponder mate. Rescan time, I know, it sucks!

I used to experience the issues you mention with the EPG, but after leaving my box on standby each time I'm not using it, the EPG updates within 5mins after turning it back on, giving a fully functional EPG once more.
Hmmm, I never turn my box off but I always lose my EPG after a day or two... I wonder if I should download a new Flash.

The only way to get them back is to re scan every other day...

If you backup your channel list first, do a full scan, note the transponders that the channels have move to (WRITE it down), re-load your backed-up channel list, box will reboot.

Go into the menu, add the frequencies of the transponders the channels moved to in 'user installation' then scan just those transponders.

The channels will appear at the bottom of your EPG list (while the rest of your channels will remain in order). Then simply replace the channels that moved with the newly scanned ones and, voila..

Or..

Turn the box off at the switch, wait 30 seconds, turn it back on, head to BBC1, open the EPG, should see one or two progs in there. Wait upto 5 mins, then open EPG again, should now be fully updated once more, a re-flash resolved this for me in the long term, but if you can't be bothered with that, just do the above
