Default Hello everyone.

Hi folks, I thought I would put a post up to introduce myself. My name's Bill and I live in the south side of Glasgow. In the next few days I should become the proud owner of a new Eurobox 7000HD, having bought a new HD TV at Christmas. I don't expect any problems setting up (I'm quite techy) and I'm looking forward to see if HD is all it's cracked up to be.

If it's not too cheeky for my first post could I ask a couple of questions?

1. What firmware can I expect on the new 7000 box?
2. What channels can I expect from the VM cable service?

Many thanks,

Bill.

to be honest you may have wasted your money mate, n3 will be coming in the next couple of months. it has already hit leeds and ireland. it will make your box useless and you will only receive freeview channels after n3 hits your area.

but you get the picture

couple of months use mate.

Thank folks. I've been reading through the N3 threads and it doesn't look good. I wish I had seen them before I bought the 7000 box!

I hope my optimism is justified!

Thanks GF, I get most of the VM channels anyway. I was wondering if I could expect any channels that weren't listed on the cable network?

I used a starview(?) box several years ago on a previous installation and some of the channels that came up weren't top be found on the channel guide at the time (mostly pornography and foreign chat shows). I was wondering if I could expect anything that wasn't listed on the channel guide.

Thanks,

Bill.

Yes you will get more. For instance, the Sly Sports channels aren't listed there - but you will get them all.

And there will be adult channels

Thanks Frank, that's what I thought but I wasn't sure if I was remembering correctly.
