Eurovox EX6000 revolution lack of channels

Hi folks new to this forum . just like to say hello to everyone and if anyone can help me. Just purchased a brand new eurovox EX6000 revolution and connected it up and can only get basic channels that i had with virgin. virgin line is still active im subscribed to the basic package + phone and broadband.If any one could help me would really appreciate it thanks Danny

Hi Dan

Welcome to Techwatch

you need to install the hacked firmware on to the box.

Go to google & search for "4 shared eko", and select the 1st link that comes up.

Go to the Eurovox folder, then EX6000 SD, then LATEST FIRMWARE.

Download, EX6000SD-KURO2_204p_20091125.rar

Then extract the contents of the file to your desktop using WinRAR.

After the file has been extracted, you will see a file called KURO2.stb.

Copy the KURO2.stb file to a usb memory stick that is formatted to fat32.

Insert the usb memory stick into the back of the EX6000 receiver & it will update the hacked software automatically.

Hi guys what is an STB, I have done all that Gordon said to do, put the USB in the back of the receiver, and its only saying scrambled channel

stb is the file type, if the box hasnt updated it automatically do the following


1) Easiest is to rename the file to KURO2.stb and put it on the root of a USB drive,

2) put the usb in the box, then press Menu, then from UTILS "Download", enter the PIN (0000), select the file which is kuro2.stb and Press OK to load..


Do a factory reset and then scan for channels.

did you get the latest one from here

replace xx with tt


the latest one is november 25th.


when you download it you extract the rar rolder and you will be left with a notepad read me file and kuro2.stb file

did you get that.
