Default Which Eurovox to get?

Hi Guys,

I like to think I am fairly practical with things like this but my eurovox max red is dead....rip,

It is not a clone (didnt even know about this until I came on here) and I had a happy couple of years watching the football and movies etc. on it.

I never flashed the box once, just updated the codes as and when and it was ok. Then one day it just lost all channels, even the free ones so I looked in to re-flashing it.

Bought all the serial cables etc. and followed all the instructions but I just couldnt get it to flash. No communication between it and my laptop.

I have given up through sheer frustration and can no longer be subjected to holby city and eastenders. I need my sport back!

Which Eurovox is the best one to get with regard to getting all the channels and one which will need minimal updating code resets etc.??

Any advice would be appreciated,

Thanks, Nigel.

By serial cable do you mean null modem cable? You need a null modem cable to flash these boxes, not a serial cable mate.

Dont get a EV
Get a Starview como or a dreambox 500C or one like mine

The SV combo is the easiest to set up(but also the most costly)
