Default Bridge Media Slot (Toshiba)

hi

I have got Toshiba Satelite A500 and its got Bridge media slot at the front left of the laptop which is meant for SanDisk and others but problem is when i tried on my (memory Stick Pro Duo) SanDisk 512 MB it doesnt fit and the SanDisk just goes in (i nearly lost it in there) i am wondering.... do i need some sort of device for it?

Expansion: 2x memory slots (1 to configure), 1x ExpressCard slot
