Cool Quick question regarding Nagra 3

Hi All - Can somebody please clarify if/when Nagra 3 comes in for us all, what if any channels will will be able to see using Eurovox boxes. Given that is if a person is already subscribing to VM on say basic TV package and has a split with an additional line to another room. Will the EV box :-
a) become totally unusuable
b) will it be like a freeview box i.e. can only see free channels
c) will it just show the channels that are subscribed to i.e. match the VM box ?
If the answer is a) totally unusable, would it make any difference if the new VM card is taken out of the genuine box and put into the EV box ?

Cheers and sorry for all the questions ...just planning ahead and wondering if worth buying an EV box now.

Pull the card out of your subscribed box, the channels that are left are the ones you will get (as long as no unexpected changes are made).

You will get what ever is currently free in your area. Nothing more. Pull the card out of your subbed box and have a look whats left - thats what you will get on a non VM box when your area is nagra 3'd

Only you can decide if its worth buying a none VM box at this time..

Pretty much so yes, unless of course you get a receiver with an ethernet port. They have abilities lol(but definitely not for newbies)

Originally thats we all thought, but no. You dont even get freeview. You get 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 and thats it.

If you have a modded or "chipped" VM box and the channels go off and your not paying for the XL package, you will lose them all. So yes, if you want it, you pay for it

First of all thats never happened as they havent designed a receiver that can take a card. Secondly, yes it would make no difference

Serious answer is nagravision is an encryption system its designed to allow, limit or block access to the CC's TV content. Earlier forms i.e. nag1 and nag2 are compromised and this is not, its deigned to tackle us,,,,,,,,simples.

I'm interested in what can be done using an ethernet port. I'm guessing some form of automated encryption key sharing? Do you have any links to articles discussing this?

Cheers.

Internet Key Sharing

Plenty of information about it on google. Technical discussion of it is strictly forbidden on this forum.
