Default starview 1 problem

hi guys i have a starview 1 and the prob i have is when i turn it on it stays on one chan and freezes then reboots is it goosed or can i repair thanks in advance,

first off try removing power for a few minutes
if that doesn't work then do a system reset and rescan for channels
if that doesn't work try reflashing your box, to be on the safe side use the clonesafe version as this is ok for genuine and clone boxes

Maybe the box is getting too hot? Remove the top cover and try using it, if it works then you know that overheating is the issue.

done the above and when i turn the patch on the picture feezws and i get a 0 on display then box reboots strange

the capacitor is a 16volt 1000uf (microfarad)
looks like part number VH57M at Maplins
