Default This is impossible...or is?!

Ive just been to a friends house who has an original samsung box the new ones. What i saw was that he had the box and the original card however he also has a galaxy card which he was using in his original samsung box. So needless to say i went off on one at him and told him off for doing that and using the box or card to get the bk and ird.....however here is the strange thing..he says that (and he swears by this) that the guy who did the galaxy card for him did not touch his box or his card. they just asked him for a card and he did one which worked perfectly.
how is that possible? how can you make a card without even needing the original card to unloop to get bk and ird or even use the box to get details?

Thanks in advance

I'd have to agree it certain sounds like someone is telling a wee porkie there.

But hey, if the OP can prove otherwise, I'm all ears

That could be done if the ird and cam id are got from box label but the engineer would have to legitimise the use of the pda, he has to put his code in to use it, so i suppose thats a way it could have been done, good thinking clarky.

Yes, you're right.

He will have to create a job then assign the area id and if the box is from that inventory then he can go ahead and send it.

But, he can also attach the box to a test account and just hit the card as stated by reddiesel.

UPDATE:

I have noticed he is using a galaxy card.

Then that is impossible as the card will not register, as it will not be assigned to a area inventory.
