Card not inserted correctly error.

Strange one here.....

I've had an ATMega Card running in a Samsung SMT-2100C box for a few months now and i've had no problems with it at all.

I turned the TV on this morning to find an error message saying that the card wasn't inserted correctly. Removed the card and reseated it to find that the message vanished and the TV continued to work - for a few minutes - and then the message came back again.

As a starting point i've reset the box and cleaned the contacts on the card. Can anyone here suggest any further steps? I'm considering re-writing the card again and giving that a go......

I would try re-writing the card mate. Try changing the CAM ID (using Toxic) but failing that, I would say that the card (or possibly the card reader) is on it's way out.

Sounds to me like the error msge we all got when virmin changed from 3.6 to 3.7.it knocked most cards down . check em for ur version if 3.7 you will need to re flash with new 3.7 shani hex fix....

Just to confirm here.

I can't find my original flash files now so i'm assuming I need to use Toxic 7 to generate ExtEep and then the shani 3.7 hex fix needs to go into flash.

Can anyone point me in the direction of the hex fix file for pure NTL region? So far i've only found C&W.

I've done some digging elsewhere and found reports that the area i'm in did indeed change to 3.7 last night. So i'm pretty sure now that's the cause of the problem. Now I just need to find the files required for me to make my FunCard AU.

Edit: Also, surprised to find my card wasn't an ATMega (i've done quite a few cards lately and got my wires crossed). The cards actually a Fun4. Is the Shani 3.7 hex fix still applicable in this case and if so will using it in conjunction with Toxic7 make the card auto-update?

I think the Shani fix is the only one that will work as a 3.7 Funcard fix has never been made public.

I had a dig around online and found a zip file which had the shani files for all three regions. I've just progged the card using an exteep made from toxic7 and the shani flash for my region.

Just tested and it's worked fine - autolearnt the keys after about 90 seconds and no more 'card not inserted correctly' message.

There is also a fix for Pure & TW on 3_7 (by Shani) its in the Doanload Section and on the Toolbar..
