Hiya
I have a friend's Scientific Atlanta 2100 (EPC2001R2) which has been hacked, but not by one of us. It has been working fine up until a few days ago. I think it is most likely the MAC which needs changing? I am based in Avon and know how to get the the new MAC codes etc from different UBRs but the problem is I can't enter the interface through firefox. I have read you type http://192.168.100.1 to access the firmware menu. When I do this I am then instructed to type a username and password which unfortunately I don't have. After searching for a while I have tried the following: admin/w2402, admin/root, infinite/SetValue, admin/infinite none of which have worked. Any ideas as to what the login could be? I think the modem used Infinite firmware as the box which asks for the login info mentions and infinite site. Another idea which I've read suggests changing from Infinte to Haxorware? Will this work if i don't have any of the login info? Is it an easy transition? SOrry for all the questions, and thanks for your time, |

try Infinite and SetValue <---note the caps.
that page wont let you configure anything thou. you need to telnet into the modem using either hyperterminal or putty and enable bpi as in the 'post telnet commands here' thread on this forum

Hmmm. I tried that password and it did seem to accept it. However all I then got to was a page which said it was a (GIF Image) at the top of the firefox tab, and in the actual tab it just said
"The image "http://192.168.100.1/" cannot be displayed because it contains errors." There were no settings or anything to change, like you said I suppose. So what would you advise as my next step? Should I change to haxorware or just use the telnet commands? I had a look at the sticky but could find little for about using to Telnet to change the Mac Address. What would enabling BPI do? Thanks again Last edited by ps240685; 22-01-10 at 02:58 PM. |

Can anyone help me further?
I figure if I enable BPI it should work but how do i go about doing that? I have downloaded Putty but I'm not really sure how to use it. Are there any tutorials around which will help? |
