Default modem fecked

awlright people heard this forum was the best in the web so here goes my modem was fine until 2 days ago went off so i tried a few new macs after about the 4 or 5 i kept getting and still get tcp connection error any solutions how to solve this cheers guys

abit more info would help, what modem? what firmware? what area? what error does the log give

1) flash Haxorware on it and change BPI from 0 to 1, the mac and other stuff dont get deleted if you flash from Infinite to Haxor but check in settings to make sure.

or
2) Using hyperterminal change BPI to 1

A good place to start would be to read the stickys in this forum and also Haynes cable modem guide
