I'm sure that using the correct satellite cable with the correct ohm rating (is it 50 or 75?!) is recommended and better - but will the old brown stuff work? I have a feeling it will but please could somebody tell me for sure? Thanks

Thanks. Probs worth a try as I can use an existing cable run as opposed running a new cable in. Its on my mates barn conversion and the walls are mega thick so really hard going when drilling through. I think I may have used old brown cable before and if I remember rightly its a bit thicker than sat cable and therefore harder to get the F type connector on.

The old brown tv cable works just as well as the white stuff I have been using it for years and have kitted the whole house out with it.
