Default Problem with Telnet (Trying to enable bpi+ on Sigma x2)

Hi after this problem with the rebooting modems mine (Haxorware) and a friends (Sigma x2) modem went down. I changed the bpi to docsis 1.1 via webui on my Ambit with Haxorware successfully but having trouble with my friends.

I have telnetted into it:

I can enter the login name but then went I press enter to type the password it won't let me type at all and I have no idea why.

Try just ignoring the screen and type and enter the password anyway.

go into ur sigma page and change the login and password to blank (empty) and click change, then reboot ur modem and telnet into it when it ask for login and password just hit enter and it will let you in.

also make sure on the sigma page it says embedded telnet enabled aswell.

once u set ur bpi u can password ur telnet again via sigma page if you want.

Brilliant thanks that seemed to work. But now a new problem has presented itself I get a continuous flowing list that doesnt stop so I can't type any commands in.
I don't have the coax plugged in. Just power and ethernet.
