cable modem..BPI on sigma1.6

I was wondering if anyone has any fix or method to enable BPI on SIGMA 1.6. anyone with any info please post.

Use Amchobit 0.973 beta to enable bpi

Sorry im using Motorola Surfboard 5100. ambochit is for ambit modems only. i mite just try reflashing it with sb5100mod as i hav another modem and bpi enabled works.

you need to change ur bpi via telnet use the post below as a bit of a guide as its got some screen shots

Problem with Telnet (Trying to enable bpi+ on Sigma x2)

then put these commands in telnet to stop the modem scanning
cd \cm_hal
scan_stop
cd \


then put this in to enable bpi.
cd /n/d
enable bpi true
bpi_version 1
write

and thats it, reboot ur modem and test it out you may also need a new mac addy aswell but see how you get on.

when you are in telnet if it as for login and password, then go to ur sigma page and see wot it is.

whats the difference between

cd /n/d
enable bpi true
write

cd /n/d
enable bpi true
bpi_version 1
write

cd /n/d
enable bpi true
bpi_version 0
write


i remember the first bpi command but never came across these second and third commands. Im in pure ntl area. i have enabled all three and its working now. which of these are recommended and which are not or does it not matter?

Do i need to do this to activate docsis1.1?
