Default telnet comands not working

when tryn to update through telnet it won accept cmd starting with cd does this mean it fecked!!! when upstream eventualy stops it say ip initializin starting dhpc!!!!! any help would be great

it doesnt show on the window, you just type what you want and hit enter, 1st command would be

cd \cm_hal
scan_stop

that should stop the scan and let you do the other stuff to update it, also dont forget to unplug your feed (cable line)
