trying to download firmware waiting for response from receiver

Hi

just purchased a ex1000sl scanned for channels no problem except all the ppv are scrambled, downloaded the firmware required but it wont download onto box, all connections of null cable tight and com ports the same, it says trying to download firmware, waiting for response from receiver, unable to type in 1968 it wont work but it does on my eurovox v any help appreciated, brand new and unused from my cable box

if you have just purchased this box new, it is a clone and you will brick the box.
eurovox stopped making these a while ago and replaced it with the ex1100sl, return to supplier for refund

im having exact same problem with the ex5100 if this is a cloned box which firmware should i use to flash any help would be gr8. tried search already found ppl with similar problems but cant seem to locate a fix

Hi everyone i have finally sussed it after hours of trying, this is what i did to enable me to flash the box when it was saying it could not detect my receiver. Mine is xp home edition

First go to my computer then click on view system information
then click on hardware
then click on device manager
then click on the com port you are using
then port setting
then advanced tab
and lower your transmit buffer, mine was on max 16 i put it down to 11 and it picked up my receiver straight away, and flashed no problem, hope this helps everybody else as it has worked for me. cheers
