Default putty help

hi i have been trying 2 use putty and when i get in telnet it will not stop scanning downstream frequenceys ,do i need 2 edit it or just put it in like that as i have done it both ways and still no joy ???



cd \non
cd \hal
ds_frequency 586750000 (c+w) (pure=402750000, tw=331000000)
annex_a (c+w) (tw&pure=b)
cm_tuner 14 (for 200) (250, 2100=19) (SB5100=17)
write



cd \non
cd \hal
ds_frequency 331000000
annex_b
cm_tuner 17
write

when its scanning type
cd cm_hal
scan_stop


then continue with other commands

just copy & paste cd cm_hal scan_stop this in & hit enter that should stop it mate

Hi all im trying 2 do the bpi on my modem and it will not stop scanning but the when its been on for 2 mins or so i get bandwidth request failure what is that and what can i do about it ????

I wrote a tut for you, but the site logged me out. lol

basically:

Once you have a telnet connection to the CM,

copy this:

cd cm_hal
scan_stop


Then right click in the window of your open telnet client. (it should paste it automatically)

This should stop the scanning, so it's much easier to use and see what you're doing.

then copy this command:

cd non-vol
cd docsis
bpi_version 0
write

then, again, right click in the open telnet window.

Job done
