Default Technomate Satellite STB

I was told by a satellite seller that he sells technomate boxes and you can get 'all' the channels, all I need to do is connect my broadband wire to the box and job done. Is this true??

Thanks

No its not true! You will only be able to receive the free to air channels, unless you decide to buy a viewing card. Only Digi TV is open on a patch but expect this package to disappear later this year. He might be referring to a TM6800 Super or TM6900 Super or TM500 or TM600 that can connect to the internet for C/S but you will still have to pay someone for access.

He said I just need to pay a one off fee and thats it, I don't even need a dish. So your saying its C/S then? Will that be over soon?

Thanks

Any satellite receiver will work with your dish, but if you think you are going to get Sky for nothing your are mistaken and I would not beleive what you hear from that guy, a satellite dealer, yeah my arse. It will be C/S but again by doing this you do not know who you are giving your details too, and how your money is being spent by the people behind such servers

I don't need to give him my details, all I do is pay him a one off payment and he will install and connect the box to my sky dish.

When he says I will get 'all' the channels, does he me all the local Sky channels: Sky Sports, Sky movies etc

Or will it be only foreign channels? Or does it all depend on the server?

You need to ask your seller these questions - only he can answer them.

To be honest you are dealing with a payserver which is invariably run by lowlife scum.

Be aware that Sky UK will be tightening up their encryption in the near future with the aim of eliminating card sharing systems (and good luck to them!) So dont expect to make one payment and have free Sky for ever coz it aint going to happen!

Take a look at this

Payserver Warning

The only way that the "dealer" can deliver what he has promised is via c/s. What will probably happen is that after a month or three, your channels will go black until you "subscribe" to the server.

I suggest you settle into a few hours on google and find out what you can do for yourself. It will save you alot of heartache in the future.

Rick

I suspect that your dealer is also selling you a subscription to a pay server, I would check what duration that is for. Some pay servers are pretty dicey, others (usually the invite only pay servers) are better. As with anything like this, it could last a while or it could all go off tomorrow.
