tryin to write a mosc got passed unlooping which I usually have trouble with but not this time worked on the first few attempts then go to getboxkey and doesnt show anything apart from the revision type but hey sidewinder gave me the bk anyway so went to mrom and it wont read the card at all had a fiddle with the delays but still same just reads ' error reading from card' when I select 'open' or reset or repair! any ideas?
tried cleaning card up it reads in nagra set ifs failed?

I take it you have set the correct COM port in MROM? Also, what programmer is it you are using?

yer got the correct com port reads in nagra ok apart from giving me set ifs failed, using a mosc only pheonix programmer, its worked fine in the past!cant understand it!

also another issue that might be related
when I unplug my usb to serial cable my pc crashes!never done that before either

USB to Serial is useless, get yourself another desktop (or even a laptop) with a legacy serial port on.

most people i know use usb to serial and it mostly works for me!shouldnt make a difference surely?

go via device manager to check the comport settings are correct.
