Anyone get anything off Astra 1F which has slotted at 51E??

Yep, getting just one channel on that transponder

RTL TeleLetz.

Seems strong enough.

Never knew my dish could get anything that far round, but I do now.

i was messing around a few weeks ago i can get 18 channels on 53.0E i do not have 51E listed in azbox would it be possible to add this bird manually do you know

By the time you get that tyre rigged up, it will have moved to 48E, or has it stopped moving now?

Martin, I just used the nearest satellite I had listed (Express AM22), and changed the angle a bit, and then plugged in the transponder.

I wouldn't dare try that on my Linux box though,as I know it will decide to delete the satellite if I did that, but just changing your longitude by a couple of degrees, and plugging in the TP would let you see it.

Must have stopped moving now as shes on air.

Havent the faintest idea about why 51E has been activated - I wasnt aware of any new slots to about to be activated in Europe.

Oh Ok, shows how much I know then, LOL, they can't transmit a picture while moving then.

I suppose the ground station would be having fun tracking it, for the uplink.

just locked on to that tp on 51E getting a good signal strenth 70% quality 82% only picking the same channel up as robbo

Just thrown up a dish to have a look - Astra 1F is an easy catch on a roughly aligned 80cm dish here (11934V 27500 3/4) Just showing the RTL Luxy channel despite a blind scan

Getting S 79% Q 99% on a Vantage fta box
