You need to be doing a deep scan not a fast one,have a read at this thread Ex1100 usb both pages it will probably help you a lot ...


No there are no boxes that will work of Sky, its not possible ....all the eurovoxes and the like will only work on cable ....

You need to try all those symbol rates really but most likely yours will be 6887 or 6952 but of course all this will be of no use if your box hasn't been flashed in the first place...

Kaz i had the same trouble and still do after buying a the same box off ebay try the other scart connection (VCR) and it should come up with signal mine did but failed after a few days i thought also it was to do woth the feed into my house but it is not i think there is a fault on the mother boards not to sure as it did work for some time it is like an intermitent fault.try your luck you never no i have reverted back to my old box a eurovox max5 and it works great i can asure you it is nothing to do with your connection. incidently i bought mine from a guy in sheffield where did you purchase yours?

HI ALL ,

HOPE YOU GUYS CAN HELP I HAD BOUGHT A EUROVOX 1100USB AND IT WORKED FINE UNTILL RECENTLY THAT ALL THE CHANNELS APPEAR TWICE AND FEW OF THE CHANNELS DONT DISPLAY ANY PICTURE .THERES JUST A BLACK SCREEN....FEW CHANNELS SEEM TO WORK BUT A MAJORITY OF THEM DONT LIKE THE MUSIC AND MOVIES ETC..

I TRIED TO UPGRADE WITH THE FILE ON USB and di a no of scans with different frequenices but in vain,BUT IT DOES THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER I WONDER DO I NEED AN UPGRADE OF THE FIRMWARE .the file which i have is ex1100usb_sep01.abs

you can delete all data and put it backto factory settings then do a power scan and make sure the box that says search cable is set to yes

Thing is though their is something annoying now going on where it comes up with slot 0 card in slot 0 card out


The message keeps flashing up and then the box just freezes!

Really annoying as I can only rectify it by powering it off and back on and then a short while later happens again

I know its to do with the firmware or something and i need to flash it/upgrade via usb but which programme do I need?

And how do I know its the right one (as in if its safe)

Last thing I wanna do is screw up an investment of close to £200 in less then a week by downloading the wrong file and uploading it to the box

Never used the VCR Scart.Only the TV Scart.Andypandy sorted it all out so all credit goes to him.He really is a saint

And the box was purchased from fleabay from a chap in London

I have to admit its a pleasure to use and have!Pity I didnt buy one before!

Oh and does anyone know when nagra 3 is due?Been reading up about the plague but the info is scarce and when it isnt it aint accurate (it was meant to have happened to more then half of the UK by now!)

Glad to see at least one of us is up and running with the kit i thought it had the software corrupt as mine comes up now and again i have tried updating this through usb but the upgrades are not working it would not be so bad but i have just had returned to me a max v i lent out some time ago as i had gone to sky+ as no cable in the area now have moved had that returned and it need sflashing and i cant get it to work either so only got the basic chanels amd the 1100 is still not even getting them andypandy your help would be appreciated if you can tell me what firmware i need to get i currently use the maq tool bar to get down loads but i would need some exact help complete novice

My opinion is that no~one and I mean no~one knows just when Nagra will be showered upon us ...or if indeed it ever will ....everything that has been written about it here or anywhere else is just all supposition and scaremongering ....sure they did it in the Leeds area,and who knows what it cost them to do that, but there was a reason Virgin did it there as it was the seat of a lot of problems for them...a lot of the ways to get these boxes was sourced from that area,so they taught them a lesson ....they may or may not apply it over the whole country,who knows, we just have to wait and see, you can read a lot about Nagra getting cracked and as far as I know it has never been up to yet anyway,but just how hard has anyone tried ? history has shown that everything under the sun is eventually crackable if someone wants it hard enough ....as for me I just go with the flow as it were,its no good worrying about it as it hasn't yet happened ...

My thoughts about it are that if/when it happens there may well be a different generation of boxes that come out to get round it,but thats just my thoughts ....like I say we have to wait and see ...it might never happen .....

I think that now you have your box/es working you should leave well alone unless that problem is unbearable ...I would advise you to download the BigMAQ toolbar then click on files and fixes,using the drop down menu's will show you a file dated 19/9/2009 that is the one I would be using, if you click on files and fixes,then on updates and fixes, then on eurovox fixes, then the apprpriate eurovox box you will see it there,just click on it to download it ....

That annoying message about the card in/out maybe you just need to click on it and click card out ? perhaps that will move it ? just a guess .....
