Hi laptop will not display web page it is connected to the net wireless access shows connected and its working fine it will download updates so there is a connection there but when i trying to connect to any web page it tells me its not on line would you like to view page offline. I have been thought all setting but i may have missed something it got vista as an operating system .

reset Explorer I had to do this before must be a glitch with dam Vista, the reset to default option is somwhere on the properties options, seek and ye shall find !

go to run
and then cmd, enter put in dos ping BBC - Homepage and hit enter, if you get a reply under 100ms, then u have a virus on IE. i mate well loads of mates had this, we installed firefox from a usb stick and was all ok. go into safe mode and run a virus checker, also do a msconfig and see if anything is starting up that looks dodgy
