My sb5101e went down last night after I had unplugged it. When I switched it back on it wouldn't connect to the net. Can anyone tell me what I need to do?

Hi....

Please could I ask for some, perhaps very basic information ?, yes I would like to have my modem functioning again, but a better understanding is also what I beleive is necessary ???..

I have a SB5100 with Sigma X2 13.5 Fresca, I have Macs that do get me online, but only at 1/4 meg speeds and not lasting more than a day, I have tried changing the bpi setting from 0 to 1 and vise versa....

In the 192.168.100.1 page the Baseline Privacy part states skipped, whilst Telnet ing I am not sure of how to check the exact status, e,g have the bpi changes actually taken place, what is the Telnet command for a status page ?

As stated I apologise if some questions are basic, but trying to get an understanding and a fix, as oposed to a quick fix...

When exiting Telnet, typing quit does nothing, I am forcing a quit.. ( Telnet via Windows Run Command etc )

Also would it be beneficial to change to Haxorware, if so which version would you reccomend..

Apologies also to Ash1986 for hijacking your thread... but think what I have asked may help you also ??..

Thanks in advance for all and any advise...

Ahhhh... Sorry I know Haxorware is not available for 5100 ??, is SB5100 mod preferable to Sigma ?
