Ok I'v spent afew days playing with setting, changing firmwares, macs, you name it...

I'm now on a 10meg (even tho i'm paying for a 10 this isnt it, its the principle of the thing) and the method below is how I got on so anyone who's having real problems please try this and let us know.

Ok I only do 250's and 255's and since the bpi 1 thing its been hit and miss, I managed to get back with a simple update to hax 1.1r39 but no 20megs are working and 10megs I knew for sure were ok didnt work either so I...

cable feed out, using 232 and putty
Flashed with a full 2meg Infinite dump (250_hack_dump_telnet.bin), reset
Flash with 1.1r39
did the settings, frequency, put working mac in, BPI was 1.1, left it, saved each time.
turn modem off, put cable feed in, reset laptop nic
turned on and I'm writing this so obviously its working

For some reason the 'factory defaults' in hax doesnt do a full reset (I think anyway) as when I did that before the same mac I'm on now wouldnt work.
anyway give it a go and and if it helps theres the thanks button right there, you know what to do...

how i got mine working
is phone virgin and setup a direct debit
