How many people use torrents etc for downloading movies ?

That doesn't stop the industry calling torrents evil and vigourously defending their position in court.

You cant just dismiss a "point of fact" as you call it just because its inconvenient. Simple fact is that CS is on the rise and the copyright holders/providers see it as a threat to their ability to control subscribers and revenue streams. As far as they are concerned CS is just another aspect of sharing that they want to see eliminated.

Inconvenience? It is a fact, unlike you point. The only reason there will be a rise in CS is the cable people from Britain, who have lost their TV, will increase the number in the UK, but you got to remember they are very few in number, head of a pin compared to the number of satellite users. Just because these minute few think I will turn to CS does not make the number of people using CS that much bigger, as you seen to think.

I do not disagree with you that CS is illegal, but there always will be differing opinions regarding what way it is so. To be honest I do not see what this thread is achieving, other than to cause unrest amongst the members of TW. It has, in my opinion run it's course and no matter what you think, Rick thinks, I think or any other member thanks, we have, without a doubt, established that CS is Illegal. I therefore submit that the question in the title of this thread has been answered and that any further discussion on the point can only inflame the debate. I see no point in further posts in this thread, because the only purpose it is serving is to cause arguments. It has been talked about for long enough, as we all seem to agree it is not legal, we only differ in which way it is illegal, so what is the point any more?

CS IS ILLEGAL, ANYONE DISAGREE WITH THIS STATEMENT?

Regards Wez

I had thought about closing the thread earler but decided to leave it open as a general CS morality thread, but as you say, it's run it's course and is now closed - feel free to start another thread on CS morality or anything else unrelated.
