just what i was thinking,cant believe there is so many people out there who dont know about things like these,there is other senders you can get from the likes of argos etc,,i wonder if they have made a hd connector instead of the skart connector yet,that would be handy

Thanks Rick, The Global Link plus is working a treat with my Samsung cable box.

I had to get buy the the power supply for it as well. Also had to buy the Global TV link eye as to receive the remote commands in the bedroom. The remote signals pass through my Proception Starbox amp in the loft no problems as well.

Its a design thing rather than a deliberate decision. The chipset used is only capable of producing one video stream at once - thats either hdmi or scart/rf. The hardware isn't present to allow both at the same time.

Many comments have already been made to VM regarding this problem as it can make the boxes quite difficult to set up initially. If the thing is set to hdmi mode and you dont have a tv capable of utilising this then its nigh on impossible to blindly get to the correct menu to change the mode.

Thanks guys seems to be possible but can someone simplify what I can do or need to buy - sorry just nottech minded but trying to learn. Or do I just pay THEM the extra ££s per month for additional box - Oh just thought - if V+ downstairs anything u record can only be watched down stairs or can play back be tranmiited to nother room?
