using a 24/7 service though a usb phone.
the only problem is pc as got 2 be on when needed.
question is

is there a phone out 2 plug in 2 router or wireless so pc dont need on.

Hi highway. Yes there are several lan connected telephones. I use a Broadstream 100 connected to my router so that it is available for incoming and outgoing calls at all times.

seached google c.o.uk and com for Broadstream 100 not coming up with a lan or a phone .

No I just searched too and other than this thread (damn google doesn't hang about) no mention of it so not sure what sort of price it is/was, you could do a lot worse than a Gigaset A580IP though for just over £50.

Sorry guys, I had a senior moment during my last message.

My voip phone is a Grandstream Budge Tone 100.

The latest equivalent is visible at _http://www.voipon.co.uk/grandstream-budgetone-101-p-151.html. Just delete the leading hyphen and put address into your browser.

Depending on how many extra hours you leave your comp on and its spec, it might pay for itself in a surprisingly short time, not too mention the much improved experience and WAF.

Another option is a ATA, theres a SPA 2000 finishing on Ebay just before 10 tomorrow morning, if you've got a phone to plug into it its a cheap option.

hi i use a wrp 400 linksys router with 2 phones lines no need for other hardware or software you can just plug in any old land line phone.
