That's brilliant guys! I've had a look on southern satellites website and L.J.'s Live sat and it seems that the Diema sub would be good for the EPL games. However, the best out of all of them for me is probably getting the Al-Jazeera Sports channels as they show the EPL and La Liga (and in HD as well
). Could you please guide me on the equipment to get this? Fleaby has an Al-Jazeera sports card going for around £70 - he's a power seller so I imagine it's all legit. The only worry I have is that I'll need a mammoth 3m dish or something!

No, you are OK, make sure you get the Al-jazeera card for Hotbird, only a small dish is needed.

I would imagine a 60cm dish would be more than adequete for Hotbird where you are. If it's just the JSC that you want to watch, that any reciever with viaccess or Iderto card slot will do, dont forget about the HD. ATM digiTV is still an option on 1w, something like a TM6900-HD might be an idea and you can patch it for Digi, and it will read your JSC card. You would also of course get the Freesat channels off 28e, and all the rest of the FTA channels that your dish can pickup. It also makes your system a little more futre proof as rights and content do change.
If all you want to do is watch football on JSC, I would go for a 60cm fixed dish and have a word with southern satellite about a budjet HD reciever that will read your card.

That's brilliant guys! This satellite malarky is awesome! I never realised there were so many options available. I want a robust & more future proof system as I can imagine things will be happening to prevent home users getting such channels so easily. Thus, would a 1m motorised system be a better option? I believe I will then have more flexible options in the future right guys?
I really appreciate everyone's help so far! It's been enlightening to say the least.

A 1m Motorised is a good option, and will cover most of the bases, especially if you get a good quality dish.
Now which reciever to go for ....

I just realised that al jazeera only shows some EPL games...no wonder its so cheap! Does anyone know if Diema supports HD channels as this will probably be the better option to be honest...If not, the only other thingI can think of is getting the italia calcio HD sub and setting up a c/s with some family members and thus splitting the cost. I'm a little tentative in doing this though...

No Diema does not have HD channels, anyway the down side to Diema is that you don't get english language.

Thanks Southern. So it looks like Sky Italia is the best option. Just looking at your store mate, there's a Golden Media 960 CRCI HD with 80cm Motorised Dish - £199.00 Delivered. How much would it cost for a 100cm dish and would it do the job for me buddy?
Also, if I know someone who lives in Italy, how do I go about getting them to get me a card?

This receiver will not handle the Sky Italia card as you need a dedicated Sky Italia box, due to the NDS encryption that it uses
