Cctv in control center's well it depends who is looking at the screen first of all the persons need to be vetted by police. Here in dublin some shops have them in the loo's, they are hidden in alarm pir's.They have saved the shops from being sued (ie) someone spilling water on the floor and they claming they slipped. They have saved lives, one lad was walking along the canal drunk, He tried to cross the lockgate and fell in the water, the 'person' looking at the screen saw what happened and sent help. They are the pro's.If you have noting to hide.
Now the con's on the other hand they have helped Scum Bags rob people just 3 weeks ago a bank worker was a victim of 'tiger' style kidnapping and robbery .A private cctv that anyone with web access can log on and look @ and wait for cash vans, key holders ect, ect. Live web-cams should not be allowed a 20/30 min time delayed maybe. Not just to log on to an IP address and hunt your prey.

More cameras at further cost to the tax payer? Its impossible to monitor 60,000,000 people. simples

Too many 'kin cameras, spying on us. It's getting like 1984 is coming true.

Next they'll be putting them in our homes to stop us smoking inside them.

It's good in some ways , muggers will be caught etc.

But they say they can catch parking violations easier.

I think it's too much , can you imagine a camera on the corner of every sreet watching our every move ?
