If you're worried run a free online scan once a week/month just to check that your security is working.

Hi there, could you suggest any spyware sites to use?

There are lots of free anti spyware programs around, two of the most popular are Ad Aware, and Spybot Search & Destroy.
Try a google, or other engine, search for Free antispyware.

Not really, just check that your new security is doing it's job, every now and again, by scanning your PC using a free online scanner, a reputable one.
It should be fine providing your sensible about what you download and sites you visit.
I've never had a problem using the avast free software, most of it is common sense, if something prompts you click to run a program just check what it is before clicking OK.
