Remove Norton first, or it will cause problems, just go to their site and download the proper norton removal software.
Just google Norton Removal Tool
Which Operating System are you using? Microsoft have their own free anti virus software for Windows 7 and Vista users, but personally I'm still using Avast.

its generally advised not to run more than 1 Anti virus/have installed at the same time. Just un install norton via the add remove programs option in XP or programs and features for Vista... Then install this

AVG Free - Download Free Antivirus and Antispyware for Windows 7, Vista and XP

Regards

They probably mean the zonealarm free firewall, which you probably don't need, are you using a router?

Ok, MSE has a firewall facility that is running, do I need the basic version of Zonealarm which is also a fire wall?

Cheers

No, windows has it's own firewall, just stick to the anti virus and run an anti spyware check every so often.
If you're worried run a free online scan once a week/month just to check that your security is working.

Get AVG or NOD32 mate! Both are free and have excellent reviews for being top anti-virus products.
